I am super excited ~ Thank you, Art Farm!
I'll be working on my upper middle grade novel, Naughtia & the Trouble She's In,
at the lovely space provided by Art Farm. I can't wait!
Another Update: I won an Honorable Mention in the Writers of the Future Contest for my speculative fiction short story, Wisp!

I won Midwest Writing Center's Great River Writers' Retreat! I am so, so excited to meet the people at MWC, and to use the time they're giving me to finish my first draft of
Naughtia & the Trouble She's In. THANK YOU Midwest Writing Center!

Announcing the Winner of the 2022 Great River Writers Retreat
Congratulations to this year’s winner of the Great River Writers Retreat, Jo Ivy Young! Young is currently working on her master’s degree in creative writing at the University of Northern Iowa. She has won the Society of Children’s Writers and Illustrators Work-in-Progress Award, and placed as a nonfiction research finalist for SCBWI. She recently won Author Mentor Match. She is a former archaeologist who loves birds, bugs, and books. Jo’s also a verified tree hugger (just ask the trees in her neighborhood).
