I am super excited ~ Thank you, Art Farm!

at the lovely space provided by Art Farm. I can't wait!

​Announcing the Winner of the 2022 Great River Writers Retreat

Congratulations to this year’s winner of the Great River Writers Retreat, Jo Ivy Young! Young is currently working on her master’s degree in creative writing at the University of Northern Iowa. She has won the Society of Children’s Writers and Illustrators Work-in-Progress Award, and placed as a nonfiction research finalist for SCBWI. She recently won Author Mentor Match. She is a former archaeologist who loves birds, bugs, and books. Jo’s also a verified tree hugger (just ask the trees in her neighborhood).

SCBWI Announces Work-in-Progress Awards
Congratulations to the winners of the 2018 Work-in-Progress Grants and Don Freeman Illustration Grants! Both awards are part of SCBWI's program to assist children's book writers and illustrators who are in the process of completing a specific project currently not under contract. The recipients will have their work posted on a special site which will be made available to a hand-selected list of agents and editors.
